Yes, it's quite a lot, but it is not necessary to read all to follow the story. It is just an extra add-on.

did you write all this? if so wow, lota work outta you :) I feel like it requires patience on the reader's part to change pace for dense text-- but I think you do a good job winding us up for it in the prev page

I really appreciate someone who puts this much back story into a comic. I've done the same with mine, but I don't normally put it out there unless it's relevant to the story. That's not to say you shouldn't! I just like leaving questions. :D

Biased history A history that shows a strong slant towards technophilic (that people thought to use coal instead wood is noted but not the telescope) and agnostic(why does the newspaper use the term? It is a Christian term that non-Christians likely wouldn't know).

I like how it declares "dark age" and "barbarian" multiple times without irony. Also, how one of the most protected people on the European continent are so easily killed by a bunch of fanatic.s
