I think I saw a three-wheeled vehicle like this on Top Gear once. It rolled over too. Not the most stable grounding for something meant to travel at speed, is it?

@melaredblu: The car in top gear was a Reliant, one of many threewheeled british cars based on a curiosity of the british tax law. (And a favourite car for Scrap Heap Construction Contests). This car is based on a popular german prewartuck. All of these cars weren't meant for high-speed and not extremly stable, but not as unstable as it was presented in Top Gear, as he overturned it deliberately for the show effect. There was the large and really fast Davis car in the 1940ies that had only one frontwheel. It was said it performed well and was stable, but not many were built and so it's hard to tell. High-Speed threewheeled cars have the single wheel in the back, like the infamous Morgan Threelers, which were quite roadstable at even frightening high speed; some of the strongest model going more then 200 km/h before world war two.

Huh, that car breakdown is really cool. No wonder you draw them so well, when you know how to take them apart like that!

One thing I'm really liking is all the technical diagrams and great automobiles, you really have a knack for drawing them. Makes me wonder: do you have some engineering background?

@hbar: No, I just like cars (when there where still some around, sigh) and some good machinery.
